We are a diverse group of women who welcome and enjoy meeting current and new residents of Morristown and surrounding communities. Some may be “in transition” because of a life changing event: empty nest, retirement, downsizing or a change in marital status while others may just be new to the area.
That’s where Newcomers’ Club comes in! We offer many interest groups, from social, to cultural, to volunteering at local charities to sports and games. We have something for just about everyone. And if we don’t, we are always open to new ideas.

Each year as our membership expands, so do our activities and interests. Last year a Travel & Exploration Group was formed. This year we have a new committee called “Connections” which finds interesting cultural and historical gems in the tri-state area like the Judd and Noguchi Museums. An additional focus of this committee is to connect our members with local events such as Grow it Green’s sustainable urban farms in Morristown, exhibits at Macculloch Hall and Abendmusik at Morristown Methodist Church.
We are a social group enjoying a variety of daytime, evening and weekend social activities: exploring new restaurants for lunch or dinner, theme and holiday parties held at members’ homes for members and their guests, creative cooking lessons, as well as book club, bridge and Mah Jongg.
Our members believe in “giving back” to the community and do so by donations and volunteer efforts at Homeless and Furniture Solutions, Morristown Hospital, Morris Museum, Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Fosterfields, American Red Cross, Literacy Volunteers of America, Resource Center for Women and CASA.
So if you think you have the “heart of a Newcomer”, come join us. We are waiting to welcome you!
